        The Department of Philosophy (Guangzhou Campus) at Sun Yat-Sen University has a proud history of intellectual rigor and offers a vibrant research and teaching environment, having research strength especially in logic and Marxism. It is home to some of the most outstanding researchers and teachers in China and the world, and regularly hosts prominent visitors and international colloquia.Parallel to Philosophy at Guangzhou Campus, the Department of Philosophy at Zhuhai Campus intends to develop its own research strength, in particular, in political philosophy, religious studies,comparative philosophy, and comparative religion, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary inquiry and multicultural understanding.

        As one of the 12 major schools and departments of Zhuhai Campus, the Department of Philosophy invites qualified applications for faculty positions of all rank, research fellows and post-doctors.The successful applicants will possess a PhD in philosophy or closely related disciplinefrom an internationally recognized and reputable university.Fresh PhDs are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to those with relevant university teaching and research experience.The AOS is open, though the department will look favorably, but not exclusively, on candidates who can demonstrate their expertise on political philosophy (Western and Non-Western), world religions (Western and Non-Western), comparative philosophy, and comparative religion. Though teaching is primarily in Chinese, English can be the language of instruction and communication. Bilingual candidates will be highly regarded. Sun Yat-Sen University will provide competitive salaries and allowances.
